At Convey Bros we fully understand our legal obligations under The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and current health and safety legislation. We are committed to the provision of a safe working environment for our employees and others who may be affected by our work activities.
Convey Bros regard health and safety as the most important factor within our business activities and are committed to the constant development of a positive safe working culture and work closely with our employees and our customers to achieve this goal.
To ensure we comply with all health and safety obligations, we have appointed an in-house Health & Safety Practitioner who is a Chartered Member of The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
Convey Bros have been assessed as demonstrating high levels of health & safety: In recognition of this achievement we are proud to have been awarded the prestigious accreditation certificates from Safecontractor and the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
Convey Bros recognise that if we are to achieve and maintain consistent high levels of health and safety and quality of service, we must provide suitable and sufficient training which is tailored to meet the company’s and our employee’s individual needs.
Our annual training program is extensive and continues throughout the year maintaining and improving our employee’s skills.
On many occasions, our learning and development programs have been recognised as best practice, culminating in our organisation being presented with awards for learning and development provision.
It is the policy of Convey Bros to comply fully with current environmental legislation and to plan ahead by actively participating in consultations about environmental documents circulated by legislative bodies or trade associations on such matters. It is the duty of Convey Bros management, team leaders, supervisors and other employees to comply with this policy and to actively seek ways of making improvements, both to the working environment and to areas of wider responsibility.
